Satte is famous for cherry blossoms. There are a lot of them at gongendo(権現堂).
You should see this cherry blossom and rape blossoms. Especially, during the end of March and the beginning of April, they are so beautiful! Also, a cherry blossom festival is held in this city this time. Many people visit gongendo to see cherry blossoms and rape blossoms. And there are many roadside stands. So, you should see flowers as you eat yakisoba, choco-banana, deep-fried chicken and so on.

Moreover, there are some flowers besides cherry blossoms. We enjoy them all year round, for example, a narcissus (水仙) in January, a hydrangea (紫陽花) in June, a cluster amaryllis (彼岸花) in September and so on.
Next, Satte is known for raki-suta(らき☆すた), too.
raki-suta is a four-frame comic strip and animation. And this story is the stage for it because this cartoonist lives in Satte. So, if you know it, you should find place, drawn in this story.
How pretty all the flowers are. The red ones are now in bloom around my neighbourhood. I like them a lot - and besides, they tell me that autumn is coming. In Hokkaido, cosmos are the autumn coming signal. What is your favourite flower?
